  • Clay Cooper’s Country Express sounds like such a fun and high-energy show that truly captures the spirit of Branson entertainment. I love performances that mix music, comedy, and dance all in one night. It keeps the audience constantly engaged. I’m curious, though, for someone visiting Branson for the first time, would you recommend seeing this show early in the trip to set the tone, or saving it for a grand finale? Also, how does Clay Cooper’s blend of humor and heart compare to some of the other variety shows in the area? It sounds like a must-see experience!

    • This is a show that you will likely want to reserve as the top-off to your trip.  It is truly a unique show that mixes just the right amount of it’s three key elements – music, comedy, and dance.  It is owned and operated by the Coopers, who are very experienced in Branson entertainment, and they have learned very well what the people want.

The comedy provides itself throughout the show with Clay being the outgoing and quick-witted individual that he is.  There is no comedian with staged jokes…the comedy rolls from his constant interaction with the crowd.

The dancing is “just right” for the show.  Clay’s wife, Tina, is the coordinator of the choreography for the show, and while it provides energy to the flow of the show, it is not the over-bearing traditional song & dance that happens at most shows.

The musicians at this show are definitely THE BEST in Branson.  The musicians and singers are all top-notch and they do a variety of songs.  Also, another key note that I like about the show is that this show doesn’t have everyone dressed in the same colored bling-bling hokey suits like most shows have come to be known by.  The performers are all professionally dressed for stage, but there is a mix of styles on the stage that lets the show breathe so-to-speak.

And friendliness is definitely not lacking at this show.  You will feel like family when you leave.
